THE HOLLARS

Morgan Casting is excited to be the local casting company for the upcoming feature film, THE HOLLARS, due to shoot in Jackson, MS this summer (commencing mid July). The SAG production stars John Krasinski (The Office), Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect), Richard Jenkins (Six Feet Under) and Margo Martindale (August: Osage County).

Morgan Casting will be holding an open call this Saturday, June 28th in Jackson, MS for day player roles and also for extras. The film calls for a LOT of extras and  they would love for you to come down for a few quick photos and become part of the Extras Database for the film. It’s free and nothing to lose!

For EXTRAS all types needed. Men and Women of all ages and all ethnic backgrounds. Many children are needed as well. (No toddlers please). Some examples of background needed: cops, nurses, doctors, patients in the hospital, people and employees at the airport, kids on bikes, shoppers, etc. ALL TYPES ARE WELCOME!

Below are the SPEAKING ROLES for which they would like to cast talent locally:

CONSTANCE: (19 days) Girl. Looks to be 9 years of age. Mixed race. Caucasian/African American mix or can pass as. Ron and Stacey’s daughter. Please note any real sisters.

MATILDA: (19 days) Looks to be 6 years of age (open to small 7 & 8 year olds) Mixed race. Caucasian/African American mix or can pass as. Ron and Stacey’s daughter. Please note any real sisters.

PAM: (2 days) Female. Caucasian. 50s – 60s. Works at Hollar Heating and Plumbing. Ron’s Sister (should pass as sister of Richard Jenkins) She is Sassy and punchy.

YOUNG MAN AT BANK: (1 day) Male. African American. 30s to 40s. Banker types.

CASHIER AT LIQUOR STORE: (1 day) Female. 60s to 70s. Open to all ethnic backgrounds. Could have scratchy voice from smoking all these years. A real character.

LATISHA (1 day): Female. African American. 50s to 60s. She is a patient in the hospital sharing a room with mom “Sally,” soon headed into surgery.

QUINN OWENS: Baby girl (or can pass as). Caucasian. 6-18 months. Jason and Gwen’s baby. Ideally looking for a set of identical twins or triplets. – No need to attend live castings – can book from photo. Email to castingthehollars@gmail.com

PEDRO: (1day) Male. Hispanic (Ideally Mexican American) but please do not limit. Has one line in Spanish. Mid to late 20s. Works at the local Liquor Barn stocking shelves.

WAITER: (1 day) Male or Female. Works at The Olive Garden. 20s to early 30s. Open to all ethnic backgrounds.

FAMILY FRIEND:  Male.  60s to 70s.  Open to all ethnic backgrounds.

 MINISTER: (1 day) Male.  60s to 70s.  Open to all ethnic backgrounds.  Looks like a minister.

FEMALE NURSES: (1 day) x 6 Nurses.  We are looking for 6 Nurses (OB, ICU, ER #1, ER#2, DELIVERY AND NEUROLOGY NURSES). Female Nurses.  30s up to 60s.  Open to all ethnic backgrounds.  Please note anyone with any real nurse training or a health care background.

MALE NURSES: (1 day) x 6 Nurses.  We are looking for 6 Nurses (OB, ICU, ER #1, ER#2, DELIVERY AND NEUROLOGY NURSES). Male Nurses.  30s up to 60s.  Open to all ethnic backgrounds.  Please note anyone with any real nurse training or a health care background.
